Within the frame of the upcoming Month of Performance Art Berlin in May, Flutgraben e.V. and alpha nova kulturwerkstatt & galerie futura will present an exhibition and included lecture programme from May 19th to 23rd with the title "Performance art and political act(ion): artistic and activist strategies in urban space".
For one setting in the exhibition, which will be a tv installation of running videos, we're looking for video works and video documentation of interventions in urban space, especially from European capitals and bigger cities. Videos should have a maximum length of 30 minutes maximum.
Several works by the same artist or artist group can be handed in.

Please include a short description of the work (max. 10 lines) with your name(s), address and
email contact, the title of the work, the name of the city and the exact place of the performance.
Works will be selected until May 15th. You will be informed shortly after that.
DVDs will not be sent back but stored in our archive.
Unfortunately, we don't have a budget to pay any artist fees.
We can offer a photo documentation of the exhibition.

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: Videoarbeiten/Videodokumentation von Interventionen im urbanen Raum
Deadline: 30. April 2012
Im Rahmen des anstehenden Monats der Performancekunst Berlin im kommenden Mai zeigen Flutgraben e.V. und alpha nova kulturwerkstatt & galerie futura eine Ausstellung mit integriertem Vortragsprogramm vom 19. bis 23.05. unter dem Titel „Performancekunst und politisches Handeln: künstlerische und aktivistische Strategien im urbanen Raum".
Für ein Setting der Ausstellung, eine Fernseher-Installation mit laufenden Videos, suchen wir noch Videoarbeiten und Videodokumentationen von Interventionen im urbanen Raum, besonders von europäischen Haupt- und Großstädten. Die Videos sollten die Maximallänge von 30 Minuten nicht überschreiten. Es können mehrere Arbeiten von einem_r Künstler_in oder Künstler_innengruppe eingereicht werden.

Der DVD bitte eine Kurzbeschreibung der Arbeit (max. 10 Sätze) beifügen mit Name, Anschrift und Email-Kontakt, dem Titel der Arbeit, dem Namen der Stadt sowie dem genauen Ort der Performance.
Die Arbeiten werden bis zum 15. Mai ausgewählt. Die Information über die Teilnahme erfolgt kurz darauf.
DVDs werden nicht zurückgesendet, aber in unserem Archiv gespeichert.
Leider haben wir kein Budget für Künstler_innenhonorare.
Wir können eine Fotodokumentation der Ausstellung anbieten.
